Twin brothers Toofan and Shyam (Amitabh Bachchan in a double role) are brought up under different circumstances. Toofan is brought up by Inspector Hanuman Prasad (Pran), the real father of Toofan and Shyam is brought up by Ramesh Kumar, a great magician and his wife Divyani (Sushma Seth).

Ramesh Kumar loses his life during the magic show and Hanuman Prasad falls in the trap of ACP Sharma (Kamal Kapoor) and Dacoit Shaitaan Singh (Goga Kapoor). Hanuman Prasad is blamed for robbery and killed by Shaitan Singh.

Toofan gets the blessings and bow from lord Hanumaan and he gets power which he uses to save the innocents from criminals. Shyam becomes a magician but is too naive. He gets caught in the robbery case. But he manages to show himself with the help of Gopal.

Soon Kadu Zalim Singh raids Gopal’s village and kills his whole family. When Shyam finds out, he goes to Gopal’s village but is mistaken for Toofan.

What will Shyam do? Will he able to avenge Gopal’s death? Where has Toofan disappeared? Will the two brothers ever meet?
